Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Epic EHR Development Lead to guide design, configuration, development, and optimization of Epic solutions across clinical, operational, and revenue cycle domains. You will provide technical and functional leadership for Epic applications, ensuring alignment with workflows, strategy, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, CS, or related field.
• 7+ years of Epic EHR experience including hands-on build and configuration.
• 3+ years in a lead, senior analyst, or supervisory role supporting Epic systems.
• Active Epic certification(s) in one or more modules.
• Strong understanding of healthcare clinical workflows and operations.
• Experience leading complex Epic projects or large-scale implementations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Epic analysts, developers, and configuration teams across Epic modules.
• Serve as primary technical and functional escalation point for Epic development issues.
• Define and enforce Epic development standards, build guidelines, and governance processes.
• Partner with Informatics, Clinical Leadership, and IT leadership to align development with strategy.
• Contribute to Epic roadmap planning, optimization, and system upgrades.
• Oversee Epic integration, upgrades, patches, and special updates.
• Support testing strategies including unit, integration, and UAT, and go-lives.
• Translate clinical needs into technical Epic solutions and communicate risks clearly to stakeholders.
