Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University seeks a senior IT leader to oversee Epic EHR development, optimization, and support in an enterprise environment. You will manage builds, configuration, testing, upgrades, and release cycles with Epic tools such as Sherlock, Nova, and Orion, guiding analysts and coordinating with IS&T leaders to align with clinical and operational priorities.

You will mentor teams, reinforce Epic design best practices, and ensure secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Epic Certification required.
• Experience in Epic applications development, support, and maintenance (design, build, testing, implementation, and ongoing support).
• Leadership experience in IS or healthcare operations.
• Experience in large hospital/IDN environments and coordinating enterprise projects.
• PMP or equivalent project-management certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Guide teams in supporting, optimizing, and maintaining Epic and related applications.
• Lead design, configuration, and upgrades of Epic features per organizational standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Coordinate with Epic vendor tools and IS&T priorities to align work with strategic plans.
• Provide mentorship to analysts on scalability, security, and maintainability.
