Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks an experienced Epic IT leader to drive development, optimization, and support of the Epic EHR platform within a large enterprise. You will oversee builds, testing, upgrades, and release cycles using Sherlock, Nova, and Orion, guiding analysts in workload planning and performance development to sustain reliable EHR operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 3 years Leadership experience in staff supervision or equivalent.
• 3 years Epic applications development, support, and maintenance.
• 4 years progressive experience in Information Services or healthcare.
• Experience in Epic-based large hospitals or IDNs.
• Program and large-scale project management and upgrade facilitation.
• EPIC Certification - Epic Systems Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Guide teams in supporting, optimizing, and maintaining Epic and other applications, ensuring build quality and workflow alignment across clinical and operational domains.
• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Epic enhancements and upgrades, ensuring adherence to Epic foundation standards and IS&T priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and implement improvements to strengthen reliability and reduce risk using Epic tools.
• Influence technical direction by guiding decisions on tools, design approaches, and methodologies in line with IS&T priorities.
• Provide mentorship to analysts, reviewing designs for scalability, security, and maintainability and reinforcing Epic best practices.
• Establish and maintain standards for integration design, documentation, and lifecycle management.
