Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Epic EHR Development Lead to steer design, configuration, development, and optimization of Epic EHR solutions across clinical, operational, and revenue cycle domains. You will guide analysts, collaborate with clinicians and IT leadership, and ensure solutions align with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Qualifications

• Certified in Ambulatory OR Healthy Planet OR Both
• Experience solving problems in a large matrixed healthcare environment
• Experience presenting to senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years of Epic EHR experience (hands-on build/configuration)
• 3+ years in lead/supervisory role supporting Epic systems
• Active Epic certification(s) in one or more Epic modules
• Strong understanding of healthcare clinical workflows and operations
• Experience leading complex Epic projects or large-scale implementations
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead Epic analysts, developers, and configuration teams
• Serve as primary technical and functional escalation point for Epic issues
• Define and enforce Epic development standards and governance
• Align Epic development with organizational strategy with leadership
• Contribute to Epic roadmap planning and system upgrades
• Oversee Epic build, configuration, and customization across modules
• Ensure Epic development adheres to security standards and regulations
• Review design specifications and change requests
• Lead Epic integrations (HL7, FHIR, Bridges, Interconnect, APIs)
• Guide testing strategies including unit, integration, and UAT
• Translate clinical needs into Epic solutions
• Facilitate design sessions with clinicians and business partners
• Monitor performance, data integrity, and reporting
• Ensure patient safety and clinical quality through configurations
