The role leads solution design, workflow optimization, middleware integration, and automated result processing with direct collaboration from Pathologists, Laboratory Directors, and offshore teams.

Job Summary The Onshore Epic Beaker, WellSky Transfusion & Data Innovations Senior Analyst / Lead acts as the primary technical subject matter expert (SME) and operational liaison for laboratory information systems (LIS), blood bank management, and instrument connectivity. Positioned onshore, this individual leads solution design, laboratory workflow optimization, instrument middleware integration, and automated result processing across Clinical Pathology (CP), Anatomic Pathology (AP), and Transfusion Services (Blood Bank). They collaborate directly with Pathologists, Laboratory Directors, Blood Bank Managers, Interface Engineers, and offshore build teams to ensure high-accuracy diagnostic workflows and regulatory compliance (CAP, AABB, CLIA).

Key Responsibilities

Client Alignment & Laboratory Leadership Serve as the primary onshore technical liaison for Laboratory Directors, Pathologists, Chief Medical Laboratory Officers, and Transfusion Service Supervisors. Translate laboratory regulatory mandates (CAP, AABB, CLIA, FDA), blood safety protocols, and complex diagnostic testing logic into functional IT specifications. Lead workflow optimization, specimen tracking pathways, and auto-verification rule sessions across Core Lab (Chemistry, Hematology, Micro), Pathology, and Blood Bank departments. System Design, Build & Integration Epic Beaker (CP/AP): Design, build, test, and maintain Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP) and Anatomic Pathology (AP) modules—including test master files, result components, reference ranges, specimen accessioning, worklists, reflex testing rules, and auto-verification logic. WellSky Transfusion (Transfusion / Blood Bank): Lead the configuration, maintenance, and interface optimization of WellSky (formerly SoftBank / Mediware) Transfusion system. Manage donor/patient crossmatching, unit tracking, blood product safety checks, and bi‑directional HL7 interface integration with Epic. Data Innovations (DI Instrument Middleware): Design, configure, and maintain Data Innovations (DI) Instrument Manager drivers, driver maps, translation tables, auto-verification rules, and instrument interface connections between analyzer hardware and Epic Beaker. Order Transmittal & Interfacing: Manage Order Transmittal (OTx) rules, reference laboratory interfaces (e.g., Quest, LabCorp), point‑of‑care testing (POCT) connections, and mobile specimen collection (Epic Rover). Oversee cross‑module integration with ClinDoc, ASAP (ED), OpTime (Surgical), Orders, and Resolute HB/PB for lab charge generation.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $95,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $151,000 per year

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
