This is a hybrid-remote position. This role is aligned to our main laboratory in Needham, MA, with occasional to regular on‑site attendance required based on business and operational needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Beaker Build & System Maintenance
    • The analyst performs foundational Epic build and configuration tasks, maintaining Beaker and integrated lab applications according to established standards and change‑control processes. This ensures accurate result reporting, proper workflow routing, and reliable instrument connectivity
  • Lab Integrations & Regulatory Compliance
    • Laboratory systems require precise mapping, interface validation, and ongoing monitoring to meet CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory requirements. The analyst supports these integrations, helping ensure that data flows, specimen tracking, and result integrity meet compliance expectations
  • Issue Triage & First‑Line Support
    • As the primary contact for routine system issues, the analyst logs, tracks, and resolves tickets that impact daily lab operations. Their ability to quickly triage and elevate complex issues reduces downtime and supports uninterrupted patient care
  • Testing & Validation for Upgrades and Enhancements
    • The analyst executes structured test scripts for unit, integrated, and user acceptance testing. Their documentation of outcomes ensures safe deployment of upgrades, new instruments, and workflow enhancements-critical in a high‑risk, highly regulated environment
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management
    • By maintaining clear build documentation, support procedures, and job aids, the analyst strengthens team knowledge, supports onboarding, and improves consistency in system maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Operational Learning & Workflow Translation
    • Through collaboration with lab staff and operational stakeholders, the analyst develops a deep understanding of laboratory workflows. This foundational knowledge allows them to translate operational needs into accurate system functionality and future build requirements

You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of knowledge of laboratory regulations (CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission) and how they impact system build and documentation
  • 1+ years of experience with healthcare or laboratory information systems (LIS, middleware, or instrument interfaces)
  • 1+ years of experience performing structured testing, including unit testing and assisting with integrated and interface validation
  • 1+ years of analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to triage routine issues and elevate appropriately
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent documentation skills, including maintaining build records, test scripts, and support procedures
  • Ability to follow established change‑control processes and adhere to build standards
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with clinical laboratory staff and operational stakeholders
  • Attention to detail in build configuration (tests, panels, result components, reference ranges)
  • Ability to learn complex systems and workflows quickly
  • Comfort working in a highly regulated, safety‑critical environment
  • Strong organizational skills for managing tickets, documentation, and testing cycles
  • Team‑oriented mindset with willingness to support senior analysts and cross‑functional teams
