Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Epic Clinical Information System Analyst II for the Anesthesia department in Maryland. The role focuses on configuring Epic workflows, leading small-to-medium projects, and coordinating cross‑functional teams to meet clinical goals.

The analyst will manage complex incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely communications with users and leaders while maintaining documentation and training materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, information systems, business, or related field; substitution allowed year-for-year.
• 5-6 years of direct clinical/healthcare operations/clinical information systems experience, with Epic preferred.
• Epic certification required or must be obtained within timeframe established by AHC.
• No formal supervisory experience required; leading workstreams or mentoring preferred.
• Must complete Epic training, projects, and examinations and participate in travel, on-call, and extended-hour support.

Responsibilities

• Independently analyze intermediate-to-advanced clinical requirements; design workflows and configure Epic applications.
• Own complex incidents and requests; perform root-cause analysis and coordinate cross-application troubleshooting.
• Plan and lead small-to-medium application projects, enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Serve as liaison among end users, leaders, Epic representatives, and technical teams; ensure solutions meet business needs and timelines.
• Assess impact of changes across workflows; develop and execute testing and validate production outcomes.
• Maintain documentation; develop knowledge articles, training materials, and end-user education.
• Provide guidance and quality review for less-experienced analysts and users.
