Job summary

Adventist HealthCare in Gaithersburg, MD seeks an Epic Clinical Information System Analyst III to lead advanced analysis, design, build, test, and optimize Epic functionality across application and operational boundaries.

You will serve as a senior liaison among stakeholders, govern change control, and mentor analysts while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality production support for complex EHR environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, information systems, business, or a related field.
• 7-8 years of clinical, healthcare operations, or related experience with complex implementations and EHR environments.
• Epic certification in the assigned application(s) required or obtainable within the required timeframe.
• No formal supervisory experience required; demonstrated leadership of large workstreams and cross-functional teams.
• Must be able to travel, be on-call, and support major projects and events as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced analysis and enterprise workflow design across Epic functionality.
• Architect, configure, build, test, validate, optimize, and maintain Epic solutions.
• Coordinate cross-application incidents, root-cause analysis, and durable corrective actions.
• Plan and lead large, complex projects, including upgrades and go-live support.
• Serve as senior liaison to stakeholders, governance bodies, and vendor teams.
• Establish design, testing, change control, and documentation standards.
• Mentor analysts and lead knowledge transfer without formal supervision.
• Evaluate capabilities and regulatory requirements to propose enterprise improvements.
• Provide concise status, risk, and milestone reporting; participate in major events.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
