Job summary

Adventist HealthCare in Gaithersburg, MD seeks an Epic Clinical Information System Analyst I to support Cupid Cardiology. You will analyze clinical workflows, configure Epic modules, test changes, and collaborate with clinicians to ensure the system meets patient care needs.

The role requires a healthcare IT background with 3–5 years related experience, Epic training/certification where possible, and the ability to work occasional after-hours.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare, information systems, business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of direct clinical, healthcare operations, information systems, application support, or related experience.
• Epic experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet Epic training requirements and obtain certification within the timeframe.
• Current clinical licensure is preferred when relevant.

Responsibilities

• Analyze defined operational and clinical workflows; configure and validate Epic functionality.
• Serve as support contact; troubleshoot incidents and document findings.
• Coordinate system changes with testing, change-control, and post-change validation.
• Collaborate with clinicians, Epic representatives, and other teams to align with business needs.
• Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and SOPs.
