Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex transmission, substation, distribution, gas, and IT projects with cross-functional teams. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and safety, delivering programs from $1M to $60M while supporting storm coverage.

Responsibilities include external customer interfaces, resource planning, executive communications, contractor management, and mentoring peers. A PMP or path to PMP within two years is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 7–10 years of PM experience, or 9–12 years without a Bachelor's degree.
• PMP certification or completion within two years of entry.
• Ability to apply planning/control, risk management, PM tools, and business case development.
• Proven leadership in a high-performance culture.
• Strong communication, consensus-building and accountability.
• Valid driver's license and access to an automobile.

Responsibilities

• Manage large, complex projects with budgets typically ranging from $1M to $60M.
• Interface with external customers for transmission/substation projects and negotiate schedules.
• Collaborate with PMs and managers to optimize resource utilization.
• Communicate with sponsors and stakeholders, including executive-level presentations.
• Acquire and manage contract resources; approve change orders and payments.
• Lead and coach team members; mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Acquire zoning variations and permits and present to zoning boards.
• Provide backup support for the Manager Project Management.
