Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Controls Scheduler to develop and maintain integrated EPC schedules for PV solar projects. The role is fully remote with travel to jobsites in the region to lead scheduling activities and coordinate with engineering, procurement and field teams.

You will use P6 to create realistic schedules, perform quantity take-offs, attend meetings, update the schedule bi-monthly, maintain delay logs, and train field personnel in scheduling procedures.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture degree or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years project engineering or related experience
• Experience scheduling for HV, Substations, or electrical features
• Experience in EPC environment scheduling is highly desired
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
• Experience using P6 Software required
• Knowledge of construction methods and processes
• Construction-related scheduling experience - Critical Path Method
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including business writing skills
• Reliability, dependability and flexibility
• Ability to travel to jobsites

Responsibilities

• Use P6 to develop and maintain EPC project schedules.
• Assist in planning the project by analyzing project documents, design drawings, contracts and exhibits.
• Perform basic quantity take-offs to establish activity durations and maintain related files.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, PM and field management teams.
• Seek feedback from stakeholders to increase buy-in and schedule accuracy.
• Ensure sound CPM logic and realistic durations in schedules.
• Attend project meetings to understand issues and obtain updates.
• Update schedule at least twice a month and report progress.
• Communicate schedule updates to project team and store reports.
• Maintain delay log documenting delays from development to completion.
• Record weather delays in P6 and compare to NOAA data monthly.
• Perform schedule analysis for what-if conditions, changes, and claims.
• Train field personnel in scheduling procedures and support PEs and APMs.
• Visit jobsites as needed.
• Prepare as-built schedules reflecting actual conditions and dates.
• Assist in maintaining SOLV P6 database with accurate codes and notes.
• Support reporting while maintaining core schedule structure.
