Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Controls Scheduler to develop and maintain integrated EPC schedules for PV solar projects. The role requires travel to jobsites in the region, but is fully remote; interview will discuss exact location expectations.

The successful candidate will use Primavera P6, analyze project documents, and coordinate with engineering, procurement and field teams to ensure accurate schedules and timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years project engineering or related experience.
• Experience scheduling construction projects, HV/Substations, or electrical features.
• Prior EPC scheduling experience is highly desired.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Experience using P6 software is required.
• Knowledge of construction methods and CPM scheduling.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication and professional telephone manner.
• Reliability, dependability and flexibility.
• Ability to travel to jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Use P6 software to develop and maintain EPC project schedules.
• Assist in planning by analyzing project documents and drawings to form schedule basis.
• Perform basic quantity take-offs to establish activity durations and maintain files.
• Consult with engineering, procurement, PM and field management for feedback.
• Seek stakeholder buy-in to improve schedule accuracy.
• Ensure sound CPM logic and realistic durations.
• Attend project meetings to understand issues and gather updates.
• Update schedule at least bi-monthly and monitor critical path deviations.
• Communicate schedule updates to project team and senior scheduler.
• Maintain delay log with details from development to completion.
• Record weather delays in P6 and compare to NOAA monthly.
• Conduct what-if analyses, change orders and claims scheduling.
• Train field personnel in scheduling procedures and empower ownership.
• Visit jobsites as needed to support scheduling.
• Prepare as-built schedules reflecting actual conditions and dates.
• Assist in maintaining SOLV P6 database with correct activity codes.
• Support reporting while preserving core schedule structure.
• Handle other duties assigned by the senior scheduler.
