Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Controls Scheduler to develop and maintain integrated EPC schedules for portfolio of PV solar projects. The role is fully remote, with travel to regional jobsites as needed, and collaboration with engineering, procurement and field teams to ensure on-time, profitable project delivery.

Responsibilities include using P6 to build schedules, perform quantity take-offs, analyze contracts, and update progress twice a month.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Construction Management or architectural degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years project engineering or related experience.
• Experience scheduling for HV, substations, or electrical projects.
• Experience with P6 software required.
• Ability to travel to jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain EPC project schedules using P6.
• Analyze project documents to form EPC schedule baselines.
• Create activity durations with basic quantity take-offs.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, PM, and field management.
• Seek feedback from owners, 3rd party consultants, and stakeholders to improve schedule buy-in.
• Ensure sound CPM logic and realistic durations.
• Attend project meetings to get updates and address schedule challenges.
• Update schedule at least twice monthly and monitor deviations from critical path.
• Communicate schedule updates and maintain reports in Teams/SharePoint.
• Maintain delay logs documenting issues from development to completion.
• Record weather delays and compare to NOAA norms monthly.
• Perform what-if analyses and change orders.
• Train field personnel in scheduling procedures; assist others to improve ownership of schedule.
• Visit jobsites regularly to collect data and validate progress.
• Prepare as-built schedules reflecting actual conditions.
