Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is hiring for an Electrophysiology/EP Lab Tech on a full-time days schedule, typically 6:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with no on-call requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring, scrub assistance for EP procedures, catheter and device handling, drug administration, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Certification as RCIS, RCES or ARRT, or 3 years Cath Lab/EP experience.
• CVT Tech credential mentioned.
• Allied Health Degree is required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS required within 1 year of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Use hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, including interpretation of data.
• Scrub assist for diagnostic and electrophysiology procedures with supplies and instruments.
• Prepare and maintain sterile field; manipulate cardiac catheters, guide-wires and devices.
• Inject contrast media and medications as directed by the physician.
• Document procedures and patient information per hospital policy.
• Coordinate procedure schedule as assigned.
• Assist with inventory control as directed by supervisor/manager.
