Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an RN for the EP/Device clinic to provide direct patient care for pacemaker and ICD patients. The role includes device interrogations, patient education, and coordination of follow-ups in a fast-paced cardiology setting.

The ideal candidate has a BSN or equivalent with 2+ years in EP/Device or 5+ years cardiovascular experience, plus ACLS and CPR certifications. Comprehensive benefits are offered, with a focus on professional development.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent; minimum 2 years in EP/Device or 5+ years cardiovascular experience.
• Proficient in interpretation of EKG/cardiac rhythms/arrhythmias.
• Good computer and organizational skills; ability to document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing care for patients with pacemakers/defibrillators.
• Administer medications per policy and monitor responses.
• Perform device interrogations and reprogramming as needed.
• Coordinate transtelephonic checks and EMR documentation.
• Educate patients and families about device management and follow-ups.
