Job summary
CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects in our Environmental Services Group, focusing on regulatory compliance.
You will assist with site investigations, develop QA plans and SAPs, and collaborate with scientists to implement approved approaches.
Travel may be required, and you will mentor junior staff while contributing to technical knowledge through papers and client engagements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline with professional scientist registration/certification OR Master's degree in Science or related discipline.
- 7 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel frequency contingent on duties and workload.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Responsibilities
- Support site investigations and risk assessments (HHRAs/ERAs).
- Develop DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs.
- Prepare CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, and BERAs.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.
- Support proposals and client meetings.
