Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group in the United States. The role focuses on regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local projects, with hands-on data analysis and model applications.

You will develop data quality objectives and sampling plans, prepare risk assessments (HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs), and collaborate with scientists and engineers to implement project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline with professional scientist registration/certification OR Master's degree in Science or related discipline.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support site investigations and interpretation of data for human health risk assessments (HHRAs) and ecological risk assessments (ERAs).
• Develop data quality objectives (DQOs), QAPPs, and SAPs.
• Prepare CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, and BERAs for various projects.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists to implement approved project approaches.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and mentor growth.
• Assist in proposals and respond to RFPs with sales staff.
