Job summary
Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Engineer or Geologist to support environmental site characterization and remediation projects for government and global private-sector clients. The role is based in Reston, VA, with hybrid work options, offering growth through collaboration with geologists, engineers, scientists, and project managers.
You will design and oversee fieldwork, analyze data, and produce technical reports while coordinating with clients and regulators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, or other closely related degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience delivering environmental site characterization and remediation projects.
- Experience leading teams toward a common goal.
- 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or ability to attain.
- United States Citizenship.
- Ability to work in the Reston, VA area.
Responsibilities
- Designing, performing, or overseeing soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and surface water investigations.
- Building teams of colleagues and subcontractors.
- Coordinating and managing fieldwork logistics.
- Data analysis and interpretation, technical report writing.
- Participating in meetings with clients and regulators.
