Position Overview

We are hiring an Environmental Project Manager who will manage complex compliance, assessment, and remediation projects or programs for our Industrial and Government clients. The Environmental Project Manager will be responsible for assembling the project team and managing the project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure Weston’s commitments and financial goals are met. This role requires 10 or more years of experience in site investigation and remedial consulting, including soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, and vapor intrusion.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, or a related environmental field from an accredited university.
• Ten or more years of experience in site investigation and remedial consulting, including soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, and vapor intrusion.
• Five or more years of project management experience on remedial consulting projects.
• Knowledge of state and Federal regulations and ability to interface with regulatory agencies.
• Ability to develop, negotiate, and lead regulatory and closure strategies.
• Ability to lead project teams with projects of advanced technical scope and complexity.
• Ability to foster relationships and build trust with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, Professional Geologist (P.G.), or related registration preferred.
• Experience with complex remedial projects.
• Experience with NEPA assessment and facility permitting and compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality service to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage project teams, communicating expectations clearly regarding scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee large, complex projects with multiple subcontractors and team members.
• Identify and develop project management talent within the team.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
• Set a shared vision and enable team success.
• Recruit Subject Matter Experts as needed.
• Manage project changes and communicate effectively with clients and team.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are met, aiming for zero accidents.
• Contribute to proposal efforts, including cost estimation and value engineering.
• Understand and articulate project scope based on RFPs or contracts.
• Proactively address project issues and develop corrective actions.
• Manage invoicing and monitor accounts receivable.
• Comply with Weston’s purchasing and subcontracting policies.
• Procure follow-on work from clients and stakeholders.
