Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager / Environmental Engineer to manage a variety of industrial investigation/remediation projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate investigation/remediation project and remedial design experience, have a strong focus on health and safety, be detail-oriented, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work independently, and collaborate effectively within a high-performance team.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Managing scope, schedule, and budget for large investigation/remediation projects
  2. Completing remedial designs
  3. Building strong client relationships
  4. Client and regulatory correspondence
  5. Technical report writing and review
  6. Analyzing and applying solutions to atypical and semi-complex issues within area of expertise
  7. Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
  8. Preparing cost estimates and proposals
  9. Working effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
  10. Coordinating work schedules with staff and subcontractors
  11. Ensuring quality control of tasks
  12. Mentoring junior staff
  13. Regional travel for field visits
  14. Supervising up to 10 staff members

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field and 2+ years of project management experience on remediation projects, or equivalent experience/education
  • Must pass pre-employment substance abuse test and MVR check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as an environmental remediation engineer with verifiable remediation design experience
  • 4+ years of project management experience
  • PE license
  • Experience with environmental regulatory agencies
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training

  • This role can be based anywhere in the United States; compensation varies by location.
