We are seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our Southeast Area. This position can be remote, but the candidate needs to be located in a southeast state.

As an Environmental Project Manager at Verdantas, you will play a crucial role in managing multidisciplinary teams on a number of fast-paced, diverse projects supporting environmental assessment, remediation, and restoration efforts. You will oversee and coordinate all phases of projects while maintaining a technical role on the project team. Project experience will include scoping, reporting for environmental site investigation, remediation planning, design, implementation, and regulatory compliance activities. Your work will directly contribute to the growth of the organization, and within this supportive, people-focused environment, we will help you achieve your career goals. Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a culture of safety within the project team or unit, including following safety protocols for all projects
  2. Manage diverse, fast-paced projects involving multidisciplinary teams
  3. Develop and maintain client relationships for projects under management
  4. Lead selling and cross-selling efforts; (Geotech, Environmental Resources, Landfill, Civil, Process Design, and Digital Solutions)
  5. Lead in the development of strategy, scope of work, and budget for projects
  6. Track work progress relative to project schedules and budgets and actively manage project performance metrics
  7. Supervise and provide work assignments to the project team
  8. Prepare, provide technical input, and/or review reports
  9. Maintain overall project quality consistent with company and professional standards
  10. Interact with regulatory agencies, knowing what information to provide, when, and with appropriate internal or client review
  11. Plan and execute own work tasks, as well as oversee tasks of team members, to meet project deadlines
  12. Solve problems creatively and effectively and make informed decisions
  13. Collaborate across multiple disciplines and with clients to articulate and achieve project goals
  14. Mentor staff in required technical skills
  15. Communicate effectively and proactively with management, peers, and clients
  16. Complete tasks efficiently and within the allowed budget
  17. Possess detailed knowledge of regulations in the area of practice
  18. Motivate and encourage others and help the team achieve success
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geology/Hydrogeology from an accredited institution
  • Professional Licensure, but not required
  • Minimum of 15 years of Project Management experience
  • An outstanding track record for client management and technical leadership
  • Experience applying federal and state environmental regulations
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
