Qualifications

Environmental Project Manager

Job Locations: US-MO-St. Charles

Overview

As an Environmental Project Manager with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be involved in environmental projects, providing client-focused customer service across manufacturing, energy, mining, and real estate markets. Responsibilities include conducting environmental site assessments, compliance audits, permitting, and multi-media site investigations related to soil, sediments, surface water, groundwater, and soil vapor. This includes overseeing drilling, logging borings, and designing corrective actions. Field work involves monitoring and sampling soil, groundwater, and stormwater. You will interact with clients, contractors, and government officials, managing projects from concept to proposal development, site investigations, data analysis, and final report preparation. Travel may be required.

Qualifications
  • 5-8+ years of professional engineering or related experience
  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • E.I.T. or F.E. certification and a Professional Engineer license or Geologist registration (or equivalent) is a plus
  • Environmental engineering experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
  • HAZWOPER training is a plus
  • Missouri Department of Natural Resources Monitoring Well and Test Hole Installation Registration is a plus
  • Experience with Missouri Brownfields/Voluntary Cleanup Program and Illinois Site Remediation Program is a plus
  • Experience managing complex environmental projects, including proposal development, cost estimating, site investigations, data analysis, and client interactions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with due diligence, compliance, permitting, site assessments (Phase I and II), subsurface investigations, and corrective action design
