Job Description

Terracon's Fargo office is seeking a Geologist or Engineer to join our team as an Environmental Project Manager! If you're eager to learn and grow into all phases of environmental consulting including site assessments, investigations, and remediation, and if you have leadership and management aspirations, then we invite you to explore this opportunity with us. This position is for an experienced professional to assist in planning, scheduling, and executing environmental projects of varying size and complexity. As a Project Manager, you will oversee monitoring and testing of soil, soil vapor, and groundwater, generate subsurface maps and cross-sections, evaluate and interpret subsurface data, develop conclusions, and prepare reports on environmental and geologic site conditions. Remote work is available for qualified candidates.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of small to medium-sized projects to ensure safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.
2. Prepare scopes of work for routine site investigations assessing soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and indoor air from hydrogeological, geological, or environmental perspectives. Assist senior project managers on larger projects as needed.
3. Develop, plan, schedule, and implement technical scopes related to environmental site assessments, risk-based corrective actions, and remediation designs/implementations with minimal oversight.
4. Collaborate with senior project managers to identify and allocate resources necessary for project completion.
5. Work within a local team in Fargo and with regional and national teams for various clients.
6. Troubleshoot operational issues, recommend solutions, and minimize delays.
7. Lead safety initiatives to promote Terracon's Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture, including pre-task planning for all projects.
8. Promote continuous quality improvement on projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Certifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or similar relevant professional registration or certification.
