Job summary

Smith & Loveless is seeking a Production Planner to partner with our production control team in Lenexa, KS. This role schedules, loads, and reviews manufacturing orders for sub-assemblies, coordinating shop completion and expediting when needed.

You will handle revisions, backorders, materials flow, and forecasting, with Epicor Kinetic experience a plus. Strong attention to detail and cross-department collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in an MRP manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Epicor Kinetic is a plus.
• 2 years of accounting and industrial engineering experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with many different departments.

Responsibilities

• Process jobs from Application Engineering to Design Engineering when complete.
• Implement revisions, substitutions, and backorders accurately and promptly.
• Ensure timely material flow by monitoring open orders and expediting as needed.
• Support shop personnel with expediting, in-process problems, and material delays.
• Print travelers and distribute with drawings to warehouse personnel.
• Forecast and track submittals and orders; maintain backup files for three months.
• Break down and scan jobs into microfilm for shipped jobs weekly.
• Maintain completed job files for three months as a backup.
