Apex Tool Group, LLC is seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler in Lexington, SC to lead planning, scheduling, and expediting of material and products within a manufacturing operation.

You will analyze MRP/CRP to determine production requirements aligned with the Master Production Schedule and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years in production control, master scheduling or production planning.
• Experience on a production floor is required.
• Proficient SAP knowledge for planning in a production order environment.
• APICS certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan and schedule the production of assigned products and value streams.
• Determine processing schedules and release dates for orders based on workload, material availability, or lead time, processing requirements and manpower loading.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and processes to understand lead times and ensure on-time delivery.
• Release POs for outside vendor processing.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports for routine shop orders and material releases; release work to the shop floor per schedules.
• Ensure material availability to support timely completion of customer and interplant orders; review backorders and prioritize for expediting.
• Determine production status of orders to allow scheduling adjustments; align with current business demands.
• Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to meet production needs and quality standards.
• Aim for on-time delivery to satisfy customer needs.
• Participate in daily shop floor walkthroughs to identify expediting needs.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement and cost-reduction activities.
• Maintain certifications and quality specs throughout production with the quality team.
• Prepare, print, and file job packets for parts sent to external operations.
• Participate in contract reviews for new business and set up new parts in the system.
• Work daily with buyers to ensure timely ordering for on-time deliveries.
• Update Level 2 plant metric boards for Past Due/OTD/Sales.
• Present Past Due/OTD/Sales metrics weekly.
