Job summary

Apex is seeking an Environmental Principal to lead growth in the Central Region, expanding environmental consulting across regional markets. This senior seller-doer role focuses on building trusted client relationships, shaping strategy, and leveraging national technical capabilities.

You will collaborate with regional and division leadership, support project teams, and travel to client meetings. The role offers flexible work arrangements (remote, hybrid, or office) with significant growth

Qualifications

15+ years of environmental consulting or related leadership experience.
Strong client relationship and business development skills.
Proven seller-doer balancing BD, client management, and technical work.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring professionals.

Responsibilities

Expand strategic relationships with regional, national, and multi-site clients in priority markets.
Identify, develop, and win opportunities through technical expertise and networks.
Lead client calls/meetings and major proposals with SMEs to win work.
Support cross-selling across environmental, engineering, water, safety, and sustainability services.
Mentor Project Managers in business development.
