Fuss & O’Neill seeks an Environmental Permitting Lead in Springfield, MA to oversee MA permitting activities from strategy to agency approval. You’ll collaborate with scientists, engineers, and planners across diverse projects and coordinate with agencies to ensure timely approvals.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in MA environmental permitting, strong project management, and excellent communication. This hybrid role offers flexible onsite/remote work and a focus on work-life balance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience managing environmental permit submissions under local, state, and federal regulations.
• Demonstrated experience with Massachusetts environmental permitting and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience managing permitting for projects such as ecological restoration, infrastructure repairs, bridges, culverts, dams, or redevelopment.
• Strong project management and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project management software is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Lead Massachusetts natural resources permitting activities; provide technical and project management support for permitting strategy and coordination.
• Manage review, preparation, and submission of environmental permit applications for a variety of projects.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies, municipalities, project teams, clients, and stakeholders to support timely permit approvals.
• Develop permitting strategies and help project teams understand regulatory requirements and impacts on schedules and design.
• Develop and oversee project budgets and schedules for permitting and natural resources work.
• Coordinate wetland delineations, ecological evaluations, field studies, and other investigations.
