Job summary

Fuss & O'Neill is seeking an Environmental Permitting Leader to join the Water and Natural Resources team in Massachusetts. You will lead permitting strategies, coordinate with agencies, and manage multiple projects across infrastructure and redevelopment initiatives.

The role requires strong knowledge of MA environmental regulations, demonstrated experience leading permit submissions, and solid project management to run multiple efforts concurrently.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing environmental permit submissions under local, state, and federal regulations.
• Strong project management and leadership skills, including managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Massachusetts natural resources permitting activities, serving as a technical and project management resource for permitting strategy, application preparation, agency coordination, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage the review, preparation, and submission of environmental permit applications for various projects.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies, municipalities, project teams, clients, and stakeholders to support timely permit approvals.
• Develop permitting strategies and help project teams understand regulatory requirements and their impact on schedules and design.
• Oversee project budgets and schedules for permitting and natural resources work.
• Coordinate wetland delineations, field studies, and investigations to support permitting and compliance.
• Mentor junior staff in permitting, regulatory requirements, and project management.
