Fuss & O'Neill is seeking an experienced Environmental Permitting Leader to join our Water and Natural Resources team. This hybrid role focuses on Massachusetts environmental permitting projects, coordinating with scientists, engineers, planners, and regulators to advance permitting from strategy through approval.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in environmental permitting, strong project management, and proven ability to lead multiple projects while maintaining schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience managing environmental permit submissions under local, state, and federal regulations.
• Demonstrated experience with Massachusetts environmental permitting and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience managing permitting for varied projects (ecological restoration, infrastructure, redevelopment).
• Strong project management and leadership skills; able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, regulators and stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead Massachusetts natural resources permitting activities, including strategy and application prep.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies, municipalities, clients, and project teams to gain approvals.
• Develop permitting strategies and communicate environmental regulatory impacts on schedules and design.
• Develop and oversee budgets and schedules for permitting and natural resources work.
• Coordinate wetland delineations, field studies, and other investigations to support permitting.
• Mentor early-career professionals in permitting, regulatory requirements, and project management.
