Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Geospatial Analyst in California to join our US West Environmental Services group. You will contribute to GIS mapping, spatial analysis, and data management using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and related tools across multiple projects in a collaborative ESRI environment.

The role involves field data support, creating dashboards, and mentoring teammates, with opportunities to work from Sacramento and San Diego locations. A 2–3 year GIS background is expected.

Qualifications

• Education in GIS/geography/geology/environmental science with GIS training or coursework.
• 2–3 years of professional GIS services experience.
• Experience delivering GIS products and analytical solutions for utilities, environmental assessments, CEQA, and regulatory processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain spatial/non-spatial data for ESRI platforms (ArcGIS Pro, AGO).
• Produce thematic maps and data summaries for multidisciplinary deliverables.
• Prepare web maps, dashboards, and manage data for field surveys (Survey123, Field Maps, AGO).
• Support geospatial field data collection (wetlands, waterways, habitats, resources).
• Adhere to cartographic standards and QA/QC processes.
• Manage diverse geospatial data per data management standards.
• Collaborate with GIS staff across offices; report to US West Geospatial Team Lead.
