Job summary

GHD in Durango, CO seeks an Environmental Field Technician to support remediation and O&M projects. You will operate and maintain soil and groundwater remediation systems and perform field sampling to monitor performance.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years of environmental field experience, and a valid driver's license. Overtime availability and HAZWOPER certification are advantageous. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of environmental field experience.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness and ability to perform field work.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain soil and groundwater remediation systems, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Collect data, conduct site inspections, and sample for system performance.
• Inventory equipment and chemicals.
• Maintain jobsite housekeeping.
• Perform field sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, vapor, etc. per applicable standards.
• Record detailed field notes and provide oral communication.
• Coordinate with contractors, service providers, and oversee contractor activities.
• Support and oversee other field activities as needed.
• Coordinate with project team, local stakeholders, and clients.
