Job summary

GHD in Bakersfield, CA is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join our US West Environmental team. You will support remediation and O&M projects, perform field sampling, collect detailed notes, and coordinate with contractors and the project team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (college degree preferred in environmental fields), 1–4+ years of field experience, and a valid driver's license. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess good electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of soil and groundwater remediation systems.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Data collection and field sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, vapor.
• Site inspections and system performance sampling; maintain equipment inventory.
• Coordinate with contractors and project team; oversee contractor activities.
