GHD is seeking an Environmental Remediation System Technician for an on-site role on the central coast of California. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to operate and maintain groundwater remediation systems, ensuring environmental compliance and reliable performance.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in remediation projects, OSHA HAZWOPER certification, and hands-on mechanical troubleshooting skills. The position offers on-site work with collaboration across specialists and contractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with solid technical knowledge and skills in environmental remediation and restoration projects.
• OSHA 40-Hr HAZWOPER certification.
• Strong operation and maintenance knowledge of remediation treatment systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide operation, maintenance and monitoring expertise for remediation systems on a groundwater project.
• Field implementation of routine operation and system maintenance tasks.
• Oversight of remedial contractors for routine maintenance and repairs.
• Environmental compliance monitoring and groundwater sampling per approved plans.
• Respond to system alarms in person or remotely.
• Document work in field notes, forms and electronic records.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associates or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field
