Job summary

GHD is seeking a Field Technician (Sr.) to join the US Central Environmental field team in Guadalupe or Bakersfield, CA. You will support remediation and O&M projects, perform field sampling and data collection, and coordinate with contractors and clients.

The role requires 5+ years of environmental field experience, a High School Diploma or GED (college degree in an environmental field is a plus), and strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in environmental related field is a plus.
• 5+ years of environmental field experience.
• Must possess good electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability and willingness to perform field work and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain soil and groundwater remediation systems, which may include: mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Data collection and detailed field notes; excellent oral communication.
• Site inspections and system performance sampling; equipment and chemical inventory management.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers and oversight of contractor activities.
• Provide support and oversight to other field activities as needed; coordination with project team, local stakeholders, and client.
