Job summary

APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC seeks an Environmental Scientist in the Seattle, WA area to support RCRA and state hazardous waste compliance, audits, and field data collection. You will prepare technical and regulatory reports, perform analyses, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical solutions to clients.

The role involves 50% office work and 50% fieldwork with travel to client facilities, requiring independent work and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a core science (geology, chemistry, physics, biology), engineering, or related field is required.
• 3–4 years of related work experience is required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint Online) and ability to learn other software.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage various work scopes, meeting project schedules and budgets.
• Collect and interpret/evaluate scientific data.
• Perform field work within project schedule and budgetary goals.
• Use environmental databases and software to research project/site requirements and document results in technical reports.
• Work independently and as part of a project team while adapting to changing client requirements.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and perform work safely.
