Job summary

Environmental Works, Inc. seeks an Associate Scientist - Compliance to support permit sampling, SPCC/SWPPP inspections, and regulatory compliance across sites.

You will review data, track CARs, and communicate with project managers, while following OSHA safety standards in field and office settings. The role requires an undergraduate science or engineering degree, a valid driver's license, and completion of 40-hour HAZWOPER training within two weeks.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
• Must complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training within the first 2 weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement permit parameters for sampling and requirements.
• Perform SPCC and SWPPP inspections of regulated areas and outfalls.
• Inspect stormwater BMPs and escalate corrective actions.
• Complete sampling requirements on-time.
• Review analytical data and notify managers of issues.
• Track inspections, CARs, and communications with managers.
