Job summary

APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC is seeking an Environmental Scientist in Bakersfield, CA for a balanced mix of 50% office and 50% field work. The role involves compliance tasks across RCRA and state programs, preparing technical reports, and interacting with client facilities to ensure adherence to environmental standards.

The candidate should have a strong background in environmental science, 3–4 years of related experience, and proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and SharePoint Online.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a core science, engineering, or related area is required.
• Related work experience of 3-4 years is required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft applications are required.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage various work scopes, meeting project schedules and budgets.
• Collect and interpret/evaluate scientific data.
• Perform field work within project schedules and budgets.
• Document results in technical reports using environmental databases and software.
• Work independently and with project teams, adapting to changing client requirements.
