APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC is seeking a junior-level Environmental Scientist for a full-time role, primarily in an office setting, to support our RCRA and state hazardous waste programs and related waste management tasks.

The candidate will bring data analytics and waste profile management skills, with strong written and verbal communication to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers as needed.

Job Overview

APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC is seeking a Environmental Scientist on a full-time basis to participate in a variety of environmental compliance tasks in support of our RCRA and state hazardous waste, non-RCRA waste, regulated waste and hazardous materials management programs. The successful candidate will have a background in data analytics and waste profile management. The candidate will also have excellent communication skills to facilitate internal and some client interaction, supplier interaction, and to provide direction to entry-level staff. This position will primarily be in an office environment.

Executing and managing various work scopes, while meeting project schedules and budgets.
Work independently and as part of a project team and be able to adjust to changing conditions.
Occasionally, interfacing with client personnel at a corporate and facility level.
Ability to identify data discrepancies and manage resolution of corrections to full completion.
Communications with regulatory agencies.
Time management to ensure a quality product is prepared to meet project deadlines.
Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations.
Following defined processes explicitly while also being able to identify and accommodate new or changing scenarios as well as developing processes for new activities.
Prior experience or training regarding environmental compliance and related federal and state environmental regulations required.
Specific experience with RCRA and state hazardous waste, non-RCRA waste, and regulated waste compliance and national experience desired.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, a core science (such as geology, chemistry, physics, or biology), engineering, or related area required.
Related work experience of 2-4 years.
Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Strong computer skills required. Must have demonstrated strength and proficiency with Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, and ability to learn other software applications. Expert Excel skills are a must.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $32.69 - $35.10 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
