Sargent & Lundy seeks an Environmental and Permitting specialist to review, evaluate, and implement federal, state, and local environmental requirements on power and industrial projects in a hybrid work model. You will prepare impact studies, permit applications, and environmental reports, collaborating with engineers and regulators.

The role emphasizes regulatory knowledge, strong communication, GIS/AERMOD capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects while coordinating with clients

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; MS preferred.
• Three+ years of experience in environmental compliance, impact assessment, and/or permitting.
• Familiarity with major environmental laws: NEPA, ESA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA.
• Experience in environmental impact assessment/permitting: EIA, Phase 1/2, Title V, NPDES, wetlands, SWPPP/SPCC, NSR/PSD.

Responsabilités

• Review and implement federal, state, and local environmental requirements for diverse projects.
• Prepare site-specific environmental impact studies for fossil fuel, nuclear, wind, solar, and transmission projects.
• Coordinate with project engineers to meet environmental requirements during design.
• Prepare permit matrices and applications; interface with permitting agencies.
• Develop technical reports including site selection studies and environmental assessments.
• Travel to client offices and project sites; some international travel may be required.
