Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Environmental Permitting Specialist to support power and industrial projects remotely within the United States. You will apply Clean Air Act knowledge to develop permitting strategies, coordinate with project teams, and interface with regulatory agencies throughout project lifecycles.

Essential qualifications include a BS in Environmental Engineering/Science or Chemical Engineering, 4+ years in air permitting, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in air permitting, environmental compliance, or environmental consulting for complex facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of the Clean Air Act and related air quality regulations.
• Experience preparing or reviewing air permit applications and technical analyses.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of air regulations to develop practical permitting strategies for electric power and industrial projects.
• Prepare and review technical documents, emissions calculations, and permit applications.
• Interface with permitting agencies and coordinate responses to comments.
• Support development of permit strategies and project schedules across teams.
