Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a senior environmental professional to lead regulatory review, permitting, and compliance for power and industrial projects in the United States. You will drive business development, expand client relationships, and guide multi-disciplinary teams while mentoring junior staff.

You will manage environmental impact studies, interface with agencies, and shape win themes, schedules, and budgets across major projects in the power sector.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; MS preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in environmental compliance, impact assessment, and/or permitting for complex industrial and power projects.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary projects and coordinating with clients, regulators, and internal teams.
• Strong business development track record and ability to expand client relationships.
• Knowledge of NEPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and RCRA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental regulatory review, permitting, and compliance tasks for power/industrial projects.
• Drive business development, pursue opportunities, prepare proposals and interviews.
• Mentor junior staff and promote knowledge sharing and process improvements.
• Manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects and client engagement across agencies and landowners.
• Develop target markets, strategic pursuits, and expand environmental services footprint.
