Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to lead environmental compliance across supply chain services, emphasizing warehousing and crossdocking with a focus on hazardous materials storage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field; 5+ years in regulatory, corporate consulting, finance or transportation.
• Master's degree preferred in Environmental Science or related field.
• 5+ years progressively responsible position in environmental field in large corporate setting.
• 5+ years familiarity with Environmental Laws affecting transportation industry.
• 5+ years experience with regulatory agencies or consulting firms in environmental area.
• 3+ years experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation.
• Knowledge of environmental laws impacting transportation and logistics industry (intermediate).

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities from RFP through Go Live.
• Stay current with local, state and federal environmental regulations affecting Ryder operations and hazmat management.
• Provide day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities, including audits and responding to external audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training tools for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting.
