Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to oversee compliance activities across warehousing and cross-docking operations.

The role reports to the Director of Environmental Services and collaborates with stakeholders from RFP to steady-state operations, focusing on hazardous materials storage and environmental controls. The ideal candidate has extensive regulatory experience and strong organizational and communication skills to reduce risk and ensure adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or five years in related environment regulatory field.
• Experience in regulatory, corporate consulting, finance or transportation settings preferred.
• Five years or more in environmental field with emphasis in large corporate setting. required
• Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting transportation industry. required
• Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities with stakeholders through RFP to Go Live to ensure compliance.
• Stays current with local, state and federal environmental regulations affecting Ryder and related to stationary emissions, waste and hazmat management.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities, including audits and coordinating responses to external audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training tools for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting.
