Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to support environmental policy compliance across warehousing and crossdocking operations, with emphasis on hazardous materials containment and regulatory reporting.

The role will report to the Direct of Environmental Services and collaborate with stakeholders from RFP issuance through steady-state operations to align with customer environmental requirements and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or 5+ years related experience.
• Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation.
• Progressively responsible position in environmental field in large corporate setting.
• Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting transportation industry.

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities through RFP to Go Live to assure compliance with Ryder environmental policies and regulations.
• Stays current with local, state and federal environmental regulations impacting Ryder related to stationary emissions, waste and hazmat management.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouses and cross-docking facilities, including routine facility audits and coordinating responses to external environmental audits.
• Develops and implements environmental training tools for waste management, spill response, regulatory reporting, and related requirements.
