Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to lead environmental compliance across warehousing and cross-dock operations. You will drive assessments, audits, and training to meet regulatory requirements and customer environmental standards.

Please bring deep knowledge of environmental laws affecting transportation, strong stakeholder collaboration, and a proven ability to reduce risk in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or 5+ years related experience.
• Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred.
• 5+ years progressively responsible environmental experience in a large corporate setting.
• Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting transportation industry.
• Experience with regulatory agencies or environmental consulting.
• Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation.
• Knowledge of Environmental Laws impacting transportation and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental due diligence assessments from RFP through Go Live to ensure compliance.
• Monitor local, state and federal regulations affecting emissions, waste and hazmat management.
• Provide day-to-day compliance support to warehouses and cross-docking facilities, including audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting.
