Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field; five years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree preferred in Environmental Science or related field.
• Five years or more experience in environmental field in a large corporate setting.
• Experience with regulatory agencies or consulting in environmental area is required.
• Familiarity with environmental laws impacting transportation and logistics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental due diligence and ensure compliance with Ryder policies and regulations.
• Monitor local, state and federal environmental regs affecting emissions, waste and hazmat programs.
• Provide day-to-day compliance support to warehouses and cross-dock facilities, including audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting.
