Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to oversee environmental compliance across warehousing and crossdocking operations, with emphasis on hazardous materials handling and risk reduction.

The role interfaces with customers, suppliers, and regulators to ensure adherence to environmental requirements and continuous improvement. The position reports to the Director of Environmental Services and involves staying current with regulations, conducting facility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field is required.
• Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred.
• Five or more years in environmental field with regulatory, corporate consulting, finance or transportation exposure.
• Five or more years familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting transportation & logistics.
• Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental due diligence assessments from RFP through Go Live to ensure compliance with Ryder policies and regulations.
• Monitor and update on federal, state, and local environmental regulations affecting warehousing, waste, and hazmat management.
• Provide day-to-day compliance support to warehouses and cross-docking facilities, including routine audits and responses to external audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training for waste management, spill response, regulatory reporting, and related topics.
