Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to support management, analysis, and reporting to assure compliance with Ryder policies in warehousing and cross-docking operations, with emphasis on hazardous materials storage. You will collaborate across stakeholders from RFP to steady-state operations.

The role requires staying current with environmental laws, performing audits, and developing training for waste management and regulatory reporting, with 10–20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or five years related experience in regulatory, corporate consulting, finance or transportation setting.
• Master's degree preferred in Environmental Science or related field.
• Five+ years progressively responsible environmental experience in a large corporate setting.
• Familiarity with environmental laws impacting transportation industry.
• Experience with regulatory agencies or environmental consulting.

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities through RFP to Go Live to ensure compliance.
• Stays current with local, state and federal environmental regulations affecting Ryder operations.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouses and cross-docking facilities and coordinates external audits.
• Develops and implements environmental training tools for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
