Job summary

Georgia‑Pacific seeks a Facility Environmental Manager in Antioch, CA to own and drive the site’s environmental compliance programs and systems. You will oversee regulatory requirements and coordinate reporting, emergency planning, and site audits to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role emphasizes leadership in environmental stewardship, incident investigations, and the management of permit programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Environmental Management, or Environmental Science.
• 1+ year or more environmental experience in a manufacturing/industrial facility (preferred).
• Current Method 9 Opacity certification and experience with environmental permitting/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Owns development and management of the facility’s environmental compliance programs.
• Manage compliance with EPA, state/local requirements and company policies.
• Lead environmental incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate reports to outside agencies and manage the hazardous materials program.
• Train site personnel on environmental regulations and maintain certification programs.
