Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Environmental Manager to support the Port Hudson Mill in Zachary, Louisiana. You will lead environmental programs, ensure compliance with regulations, and partner with operations to improve environmental performance across the site.

You will drive EMS, capitalize on data analytics, and coach teams to strengthen environmental stewardship while collaborating with regulatory authorities and cross-functional stakeholders.

Competenze

• Experience in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering in a manufacturing setting.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience interpreting and overseeing environmental regulations, permits, and compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting environmental audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.

Mansioni

• Provide strategic leadership for all environmental programs at the Port Hudson Mill, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local requirements while supporting safe, reliable operations.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and reliability teams to identify environmental risks and implement compliant, business-aligned solutions.
• Own the mill's environmental compliance programs including air permitting, wastewater, stormwater, waste management, and reporting.
• Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies, leading permit negotiations, inspections and compliance communications.
• Lead the environmental management system (EMS) to identify and mitigate environmental risks.
• Monitor performance indicators and conduct data analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide environmental leadership for capital projects and process improvements.
• Coach leaders and employees on environmental responsibilities and stewardship.
• Lead risk assessments, audits, and self-assessments to improve program effectiveness.
• Maintain understanding of pulp and paper processes to support operational excellence.
